The 'Rainbow' blossoms in spring with flowers surrounded by 4 white bracts. The leaves are yellow-edged and in autumn these turn red to purple. This combination, and the fact that in autumn the plant almost seems to be on fire, turns the 'Rainbow' into a real eye-catcher. This plant needs a sheltered place to grow. In open spots the leave will not develop well and will suffer from leaf stains. If you mind this, the 'Rainbow' is a beautiful addition to your garden. Taking care of the 'Rainbow' is the same as for the rest of the species and the plant is completely winterproof.
