Cornus alternifolia ‘Yellow Spring’
Like the name suggests, this Cornus has beautiful dark-yellow leaves in the beginning of the growing season. This combined with its horizontal layered branching makes the shrub look beautiful.
The growth is quite a bit slower than a normal alternifolia.
In the summer the leaves are irregularly yellow spotted. The blooming is in May with small white flowers on umbels.
‘Yellow Spring’ is very frost tolerant and an easy grower.
