Cornus kousa 'National' grows into a vase-shaped bush. Flowers appear in May/June and are surrounded by four large, overlapping, bracts. Its flowering probability is high, even at yound age. Its fruit grows at the end of summer and reach a size of about 4cm. The cultivar’s autumn colors and winterproofness are similar to the rest of the species, and the same goes for its care. Height after 10 years is 250 cm.
