Cornus florida 'Red Giant'

The 'Red Giant' blossoms with light red bracts, and somewhat larger flowers than the regular florida. 'Red Giant's' leaves are considerably larger and turn to bright red and purple in autumn before shedding. This cultivar was developed in Japan. Taking care of the 'Red Giant' is the same as for the rest of the species and the plant is completely winterproof.
